I’ve always carried a deep curiosity about the world beyond my hometown. Growing up in South Africa, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and open roads, I often took the beauty around me for granted. What stirred me most were stories of faraway places—cultures, cuisines, and the quiet rituals of everyday life elsewhere.
Right after school, I set off to Europe on a working holiday visa—young, wide-eyed, and unprepared for how vast and vibrant the world really was. That first journey—messy, thrilling, unforgettable—planted the seed. I began to understand that travel is not just about seeing new places, but about connecting with people and stories.
Back home, that spark grew into a calling. I spent over two decades in the tourism industry, learning the craft of meaningful travel—from designing itineraries to building relationships with communities and clients. I became known for my attention to detail, my calm in high-pressure moments, and above all, for truly caring.
Over time, my role shifted into corporate leadership. But the longing to return to hands-on travel design never left me. When the chance came to follow that passion again, I didn’t hesitate.
As our family grew, so did the dream. With my background in travel and my husband’s passion as a tourist guide, this became more than a career—it became a family journey. Travel became our way of living and learning, as we raise our child to value human connection, cultural diversity, and the stories woven into every destination.
And so, T2C was born—not out of strategy, but out of heart.
